Work & Play
When thinking about all the hard work that goes into things that seem like all fun, things like festivals, rodeos, state fairs, concerts and making movies, I am in awe at the people who provide this labor. Some refer to them by names like carny, roadie, and grip, but they are all artists. This oil on canvas is an appreciation of them and their work. ‘Work & Play’ is part of the ‘&’ series, which is a song of praise for all the ways God brings us together; they are all holy.
