This is a pastel picture. While in Japan. I observed many Geisha in the Kyoto Gion District and I that was my inspiration to paint a woman admiring a Japanese Red Maple leaf. I used complementary color green to contrast and highlight the beautiful orange leaf.
I used hard, medium and soft pastels to complete the work.
