Alpha Ohm-Egg-A
“Alpha Ohm-Egg-A” is Charcoal & Graphite. This started as an experiment of thought connections as well as mediums to see what would happen if I used charcoal shavings from compressed charcoal sticks (black, sanguine, and sepia) and added water to apply it to see how it would work on Fine Art Drawing paper. As I was working on an Egg Series and wanted to combine symbols related to “Alpha”, “Omega”, “Ohm”, and “A”. As I rendered the silver bowl, my imagination started to see how the imagery of the "All Seeing Eye" fit the theme regarding the spiritual, biblical, connections as well (about the beginning, the end, and everything in between, and how they could fit together. This piece was inspired by one gigantic egg in a box of a dozen varying sized eggs from a friend's yard chickens as well as another similar artwork expressed in watercolor.
