Stained Tears - Diptych Div. IV, Second place, Studio Fine Crafts

I was given an assignment that required a repeating grid, and so I decided to draw inspiration from stained glass windows, and their aesthetics. In particular I wanted to have a sort of holy or religious feel to my work, without using a known god. The character featured in the work is one of my own, and whose design was itself inspired by stained glass as well. This was made using two linoleum printing blocks, with two rounds of carving and then printing.
